YUESHENG is an experienced manufacturer of eco-friendly disposable paper products, based in Quanzhou, China. Our products include paper straws, paper knives, paper forks, paper spoons, paper sporks, paper coffee stirrers, paper cutlery sets and paper food containers, which are 100% biodegradable and certified to be U.S. FDA and EU food safe compliant.

We have sophisticated manufacturing equipment purchased from Taiwan, and employ dedicated experts who have long been engaged in the field of biodegradable paper goods. Resourced from FDA approved quality food-grade paper, our paper products are fully biodegradable and environmentally friendly, and produced to high international standards.

Founder's story

After junior high school graduation in 1997, I started my working life in South China. At that time, people from all walks of life has benefited from the reform and opening-up policy. During my working years, I have worked as a delivery person, a salesman, a factory worker and other jobs, until I accidentally entered the paper industry. I began my career in the paper business and I believe it has a bright future.

In 2008, the Chinese government launched the "Plastic Limit Order" policy to reduce disposable plastic items across the country. I was selling eco-friendly paper tote bags at that point in time, and our paper bag business was thriving. When I noticed that all drinks I purchased came with a plastic straw, I had the idea to make eco-friendly paper straws. Therefore, I tried to find resources and established YUESHENG.
Inspiration behind the brand name – YUESHENG

YUESHENG is Chinese characters, refers to living under the moon. The original purpose of working was to make sure my family can get basic income. But then I found out that it is tough to rely on along, so I asked several friends to learn about paper straws. We faced the challenge of studying paper straws at night because we all had to go to work during the day. It was like living beneath the moon around that time, the company name – YUESHENG was invented.

Product quality

As we all know, quality is the cornerstone of a company’s longevity. At the beginning of the establishment of YUESHENG, the products we made were not good enough. We thought that the glue, paper, or machine might be the source of the issue at the moment, and have conducted numerous tests to find out the cause. We have been looking for a solution to the high temperature resistance for about nearly two months without any positive results, I was made to lose my patience gradually, so were my lab technicians. I speculated that it might only be suitable for cold drinks, but I quickly changed my mind after realizing that the paper straw would lose a significant portion of its utility if it couldn't be used for hot drinks. So I continued to search for ways and found technical specialists, finally we tackled this technological challenge. We tried to make our paper straws using 4-layer high quality paper in contrast to those regular paper straws of 3-layer paper on the market.

At YUESHENG, our team of experts is eager to further push the limits of innovation. Such as pointed paper straw, bendable paper straw, paper spoon straw and more new products were brought to our daily life. It feels wonderful to have new things introduced to us one after the other.
